Star Grapefruit Martini

Serves 2

Ingredients

  •  Juice of 1 LIV ORGANIC Star Ruby Grapefruit
  • Juice of 1 LIV ORGANIC Navel Orange
  • 4 ounces of Vodka
  • 1 1/2 St-Germain Liqueur

Directions

  1.  Fill a large cocktail shaker with ice and liquids. Shake until well chilled. Strain and pour into martini glasses.

Grapefruit Lime Cocktail

Serves 4

INGREDIENTS

  •  2 cups juice of LIV ORGANIC Grapefruit
  • 1 cup juice of LIV ORGANIC Lime
  • 1 cup ginger and rosemary syrup 
  • 3/4 cup white rum
  • Crushed ice
  • Grapefruit slices and rosemary sprigs for garnish

 Ginger and Rosemary syrup:

  • 1 large chunk ginger, thinly sliced
  • 10 sprigs of rosemary
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 Tbsp honey

Directions

  1.  In a saucepan, combine ginger, rosemary, water, bring to boil. Remove from heat and let steep for about 20 minutes. Add honey.
  2. Fill glasses with crushed ice. Pour LIV ORGANIC grapefruit and lime juice into glasses. Pour over the syrup and white rum. Garnish with grapefruit slices and rosemary sprigs.

Fruit Creme Brûlée

Serves 4

Ingredients

 Option 1: 2 LIV Organic grapefruit 

Option 2: 2 LIV Organic oranges

Option 3: 2 LIV Organic lemons

 

  • 2 3/4 cups heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons zest
  • 2 Tbs. fruit juice from chosen fruit
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 6 large egg yolks
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Sugar for topping

Directions

 To Carmelize Topping: Use Handheld kitchen torch or shortly place in oven on broil 

  1. While preheating oven to 325ºF, bring a medium pot of water to a simmer.
  2. Use a sharp knife to flatten bottom of the fruit so it will stand upright without falling.
  3. Cut the fruit in half, crosswise. Scoop out flesh with a spoon to leave just the shell.
  4. Beat egg yolks in a bowl and set aside.
  5. Add cream and zest to a medium saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat. When cream is hot, gradually whisk in beaten egg yolks to mixture. Whisk in vanilla and fruit juice from halved fruit.
  6. Place fruit shells in a glass baking dish and fill shells with the custard until it reaches the top.
  7. Add simmered water to baking dish until the fruit shells are covered about half-way.
  8. Bake about 50 to 60 minutes or until the custard is set.
  9. Remove the baking dish from the oven. Remove the fruit from the dish and put them on a plate. Refrigerate until cold.
  10. Before serving, sprinkle sugar evenly over the tops of the custard. Use the torch to lightly brown the sprinkled sugar. Garnish and serve.

Lemon Whiskey Smash

Ingredients

  • 3 Liv Organic, Lemon Wedges
  • 2 ounces of your favorite whiskey
  • 3/4 ounce Simple Syrup
  • 4 Mint Leaves
  • Garnish with lemon wedge and mint sprig

Directions

  1. Muddle the lemon wedges in a shaker.
  2. Add whiskey, simple syrup, mint leaves and ice, and shake until well-chilled.
  3. Double-strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
  4. Garish with a mint sprig and lemon wedge.

Summer Citrus Cocktail

Makes one 16oz cocktail | Prep Time: 15 min. | Total Time: 15 min.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2oz vodka or gin
  • 1 1/2 Large LIV Organic grapefruit, juiced
  • 1 1/2 Medium LIV Organic oranges, juiced
  • 1 Medium LIV Organic lemon, juiced
  • 1 tsp Organic ginger root, finely grated
  • Organic rosemary

Directions

  1. Juice the LIV Organic grapefruit, oranges, and lemon. Combine and set aside.
  2. Peel and grate organic ginger root and add to juice mixture.
  3. Place ice into a cocktail shaker. Add vodka and juice mixture. Shake until thoroughly chilled (about 30 seconds). Strain into mason jar and garnish with a slice of grapefruit, lemon, and a sprig of organic rosemary. Serve and enjoy!

Limoncello

 Makes about 8 servings 

Ingredients

  • 10 LIV Organic Lemons, washed and dried
  • 1 750ml bottle vodka of your choice
  • 1 cup fine white sugar
  • 1 cup filtered water

Directions

  1. Remove LIV Organic lemon peels with a vegetable peeler. 
  2. Place lemon peels into a 1-quart jar and cover with vodka. Screw on the lid. Let the vodka and lemon peels infuse in a dark place, for 15-30 days.
  3. Line a strainer with a coffee filter and strain the vodka through. Set aside.
  4. Combine 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring the mixture to simmer. Stir gently until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool fully.
  5. Pour the sugar syrup into the infused vodka, stir gently.
  6. Bottle the limoncello. Chill in freezer for at least 4 hours before serving.

Mandarin Orange Salad

 Prep Time: 5 Minutes | Cook Time: 5 Minutes |Servings: 8

Ingredients

 For the dressing: 

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger

 For the salad: 

  • 6 cups spring mix 
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds 
  • 1/4 cup Liv Organic Red Onion slices 
  • 8-10 Liv Organic Seedless Mandarin Oranges 
  • 1/3 cup dried cranberries 
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese

Directions

  1.  In a jar or cup, combine dressing ingredients and mix together well. Set aside while you assemble salad. 
  2. Add the spring mix to a large salad bowl. Peel Liv Organic Mandarin Oranges and sprinkle them on top of the salad along with the almonds, cranberries and Liv Organic Red Onions.
  3. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss well.
  4. Sprinkle parmesan cheese over the salad and toss gently beore serving.

Mandarin Orange Pudding

 Prep Time: 10 Minutes | Chilling Time: 30 Minutes | Total Time: 40 Minutes |Servings: 6

Ingredients

  •  1.5 cups heavy whipping cream

  • 1 Tbsp. sugar

  • 1- 1oz box of instant vanilla pudding mix

  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract

  • 6 Liv Produce Organic Mandarin Oranges

Directions

  1. Peel and separate Liv Produce Organic Mandarin Oranges, set aside.
  2. Whip cream and sugar until thickened and soft peaks are formed, don’t overbeat.
  3. Slowly stir in pudding mix and vanilla into the mixture.
  4. Fold in the Liv Produce Mandarin Oranges into the pudding mixture.
  5. Spoon into dessert vessels and refrigerate until cold.
  6. Serve and enjoy.
